Rider Testimonials Help Promote Trolley Benefits

Trolley riders submit “Why I Ride” testimonials for chance to win free annual pass

March 26, 2009

Panama City, Fla. – Bay Town Trolley officials recently launched a rider testimonial initiative, asking both new riders and faithful patrons to share their positive experiences with others. This comes at a time when trolley officials are not only seeing an increase in usage by current riders, but are also experiencing a wave of new riders.

“New services and routes have increased the amount of first-time riders hopping on board, and we want to know each of our riders on a more personal level,” said Beth Coulliette, Bay Town Trolley’s Executive Director. “We’d really like to hear about how riding the trolley has impacted lives.”

Whether for financial reasons, environmental concerns or just for convenience, Bay Town Trolley officials are asking riders to send testimonials telling how riding the trolley has benefited them. Riders can submit their testimonials through the trolley Web site, or via the Trolley’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.
As an added incentive to those who submit the most creative and inspiring testimonial., trolley officials are offering free annual passes and a chance to be featured in future trolley promotions.

“Not only is this an excellent way for us to show gratitude toward our current riders by highlighting them, but these testimonials will also encourage others to ‘Get up and Go’ with Bay Town Trolley,” said Lee Bragg, Bay Town Trolley’s General Manager. “We’re persuading people to give the trolley a try, while simultaneously dispelling the myth that public transportation is only for a limited population; it’s our mission to serve all of Bay County.”
