Bay Town Trolley Officials Seek Riders Opinions
Riders can take part in public hearings this month to comment on extended service
November 12, 2008
Panama City, Fla. – Bay County residents are asked to participate in one of three public hearings that Bay Town Trolley is holding throughout the month of November to discuss enhanced trolley services. Specifically, the hearings will address the recent funding allocations by the local jurisdictions to implement Saturday service and enhanced frequencies during the summer months.
“It’s important that we listen to the community and make sure that every initiative we implement is actually meeting the needs of the riders,” said Beth Coulliette, Bay Town Trolley’s executive director. “ We are so grateful that the local officials and FDOT have committed to enhancing Bay Town Trolley’s services once again.”
Riders who are unable to attend the hearings can still voice their opinion by participating in a survey, which will be available to riders on all trolleys and online. This survey will close on November 30, 2008, but trolley officials also want to remind people that they can always submit feedback through the “comments” section of the Web site.
The hearings will be held at the West Florida Regional Planning Council located at 651 W. 14th Street Suite E and attendees can get to the meetings using Bay Town Trolley routes 4 (stops 6/27) and 6 (stops 10/29).
